This year’s conference is in Fabulous Palm Springs, Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5!

CMC, The Math Forum, and NCTM proudly bring you Ignite!  Come experience 10 dynamic, fast-paced, and inspirational 5-minute talks from some of the best mathematical and teaching experts in the Nation!  This event is Emceed by Brian Shay and will feature Anais Arteaga, Chase Orton, Dina Williams, Kevin Dykema, Kim Webb, Liem Tran, Lucy West, Nanette Johnson, Patrick Callahan, and Robert Kaplinsky.

I dreaded the summative assessment because I already knew exactly how my students would perform and, worse, I did not want to spend time "grading." Now, with my colleague, Meghan McGovern, I am excited to give summative assessments. They provide deeper insights than formative assessments can. I truly enjoy reading my students' responses.
