Teachers and teacher leaders must focus on both equity and excellence. This requires a paradigm shift to a leadership pedagogy, where equity and excellence are at the center of all efforts. This pedagogy includes the following knowledge, beliefs, and actions: mathematics content knowledge, equity, advocacy, and outcomes focused.
