Illustrative Mathematics is writing a complete set of lesson plans, assessments, and differentiated learning supports for Grades 6–8 mathematics. The curriculum will be aligned to the Common Core State Standards, mathematically coherent, and attuned to the daily classroom needs of teachers. It will be an open-education resource released under a Creative Commons Attribution license, so that teachers will be able to adapt it to their local needs, while still preserving the basic architecture. In this presentation we will describe some of the key features of the curriculum and give participants an opportunity to work with some of the materials.
